2025年11月6日～10日にクアラルンプールで開催されたAPAA 2025に、弊所より南野弁理士（パートナー）および古田弁理士が参加しました。
会期中は海外代理人との個別ミーティングを多数実施し、医薬・バイオ・化学分野を中心に、出願・中間対応、特許調査、係争対応、スタートアップ支援まで幅広い連携について情報交換・交流を行いました。
面談先の国・地域は、韓国、台湾、ベトナム、タイ、マレーシア、シンガポール、インド、インドネシア、オーストラリア、ブラジル、米国、ドイツなど多岐にわたり、各国実務の最新動向や案件対応上の留意点について具体的な議論を深めることができました。
会期中の主な様子（初日～最終日）
１日目（11/06）：早朝に入国し、午後に会場に到着後、参加登録を済ませ、複数の個別ミーティングを行いました。夜はシンガポール代理人のレセプションパーティーに参加しました。
２日目（11/07）：朝から夕方まで複数の個別ミーティングを行い、夜はOpening Ceremony、Welcome Receptionに参加し、個別ミーティングと交流が集中的に行われました。
３日目（11/08）：朝から夕方まで複数の個別ミーティングを行い、昼はランチ、夜はCultural Nightなどの交流行事を通じて、各国実務の情報交換とネットワーク強化を進めました。
４日目（11/09）：クアラルンプール市内、マラッカ等の各種ツアーが催行され、参加者同士の交流がさらに深まりました。
５日目（11/10）：昼から夕方まで複数の個別ミーティングを行い、昼はランチ、夜はGala Dinnerなどの交流行事が行われ、最終日まで個別ミーティングと交流の機会が続きました（翌朝帰国）。
弊所では、こうした国際会議での情報交換・交流を起点に、実務の質のさらなる向上と、海外代理人ネットワークの強化を継続的に進めてまいります。

Dr. Kento Minamino (Partner, Patent Attorney) and Dr. Atsushi Furuta (Patent Attorney) from our firm, attended APAA 2025 held in Kuala Lumpur from November 6 to 10, 2025.
During the conference, they conducted numerous one-to-one meetings with overseas associates.
Centering on pharmaceuticals, biotech, and chemistry, they exchanged views on collaboration covering patent filing/prosecution, patent searches, dispute support, and startup advisory.
The counterparts spanned a wide range of jurisdictions, including Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Indonesia, Australia, Brazil, the United States, and Germany.
Highlights during the conference (Day 1–Day 5)
Day 1 (Nov 6): They arrived in Malaysia early in the morning. After reaching the venue in the afternoon, they completed registration and held several one-to-one meetings. In the evening, they attended a reception hosted by Singapore associates.
Day 2 (Nov 7): They held multiple one-to-one meetings from morning through late afternoon. In the evening, they joined the Opening Ceremony and the Welcome Reception, making it a particularly packed day of both meetings and networking.
Day 3 (Nov 8): They held multiple one-to-one meetings from morning through late afternoon. Networking events such as lunch and the Cultural Night in the evening provided valuable opportunities to exchange practical insights across jurisdictions and further strengthen our professional network.
Day 4 (Nov 9): Various tours—including those around Kuala Lumpur and to Melaka—were organized, and interactions among participants deepened even further.
Day 5 (Nov 10): They held multiple one-to-one meetings from midday through late afternoon. Networking events such as lunch and the Gala Dinner in the evening took place, and opportunities for both meetings and networking continued through the final day (they flew back to Japan the following morning).
Building on the dialogues at this international conference, we will continue to enhance the quality of our practice and strengthen our global network.
